MJF Breaks Silence After Vicious AEW Assault

MJF

Following his brutal attack on AEW Dynamite, MJF has now broken his silence on the matter and revealed when fans might get a reason for his turn.

MJF returned to AEW at Double Or Nothing with the fans firmly behind the former AEW World Champion as he attacked Adam Cole following Cole’s betrayal of him at the end of 2023.

The Salt of the Earth was back in action for the first time in six months in June when he defeated Rush before he picked up another win at Forbidden Door against Hechicero.

However, something else has been at play since MJF’s return as he’s come face-to-face with the AEW International Champion Will Ospreay. That dream match looks to be on the cards in the company but Daniel Garcia has had his part to play as well.

On the 26th of June edition of Dynamite, MJF challenged Daniel Garcia for a match at All In but before receiving an answer Will Ospreay appeared and offered Garcia an International Title match for Dynamite Beach Break. In Chicago, that match took place with Ospreay picking up the win after a hard-fought match. MJF stood in Garcia’s corner for the match and told him to focus on the main event as he tried to answer the original All In challenge.

After Garcia’s loss, MJF embraced him before kicking him low and leaving him battered to a bloody pulp. Referees, security, and Christopher Daniels tried to stop the attack but MJF nailed Garcia with a Tombstone Piledriver from the middle rope before Ospreay was the one to chase him off through the crowd.

MJF Heading To AEW Collision

Now MJF has taken to social media to give his first comment on his brutal attack and hinted more will be revealed on Collision as he wrote “Saturday 8pm.”

An earlier version of MJF’s message included a message to Garcia as he wrote “It’s not your fault, Danny” but with that part deleted he might well be blaming Garcia for the vicious assault.
