Missing AEW Star Named In Major Announcement

AEW

AEW has finally put fans out of their misery – and jumped the gun on Warner Bros Discovery – by announcing its new Saturday night show, Collision.

Many expected the official announcement to come first at the Warner Bros Discovery upfronts in New York but AEW broke the news themselves that Collision is to debut on TNT on Saturday, 17th of June.

Although Collision is expected to be the new home of CM Punk in the company, he wasn’t mentioned but other headliners such as Thunder Rosa, Miro, Samoa Joe, and Powerhouse Hobbs were. Interestingly, Andrade El Idolo was also named in the press release indicating that he will also be a part of the new show.

El Idolo has not competed in AEW since All Out 2022 and had his own backstage troubles in the company when he was sent home following a physical altercation with Sammy Guevara.

Whether or not El Idolo will be seen backstage before the debut of Collision in the same way that Thunder Rosa and Miro were recently on Dynamite remains to be seen.

The inclusion of Samoa Joe as part of the new show’s headliners is also noteworthy as a report recently suggested that Joe was someone CM Punk wanted to work with off the bat when he returned to AEW.
