Miro Again Cites Frustration With AEW Booking

Miro makes his entrance on AEW Dynamite 2022

Having previously claimed nobody has the “balls” to face them, this current AEW star has turned their attention to the social media team.

Miro returned to AEW, fully, on the 1 June Dynamite broadcast, but ‘The Redeemer’ has remained misdirected ever since. Wrestling just four times since coming back, the rumour mill has speculated a possible departure for the former Rusev, though this has been refuted by the one-time TNT Champion himself.

He has, however, hinted at frustration within the company, doing so with a touch of humour. He’d previously quote-tweeted a fan, saying no one in AEW has the “balls” to face him – now, it’s the AEW social media team who don’t have the balls to tag his Twitter account when mentioning him.

Miro first appeared for All Elite Wrestling in September 2020, appearing as Kip Sabian’s best man for his televised wedding with Penelope Ford. Upon splitting from the married couple, Miro found instant success as TNT Champion, dubbing himself ‘God’s Favourite Champion’ and dominating the TNT division.

He was released from WWE in April 2020, enjoying a 10-year career that included three runs as United States Champion. His booking, both in WWE and AEW, has been heavily criticised as, despite brief flurries of pushing him, the trigger was switched off, resetting his career back to square one.

Signing a contract extension earlier this year, it’s believed Miro will remain with AEW until at least 2026.
