Mercedes Mone Says She’ll Return To WWE

Mercedes Mone

Mercedes Mone believes she’ll return to WWE.

Although there hasn’t been an official announcement, Mercedes Mone is expected to make her AEW debut on March 13th at Dynamite “Big Business.” Mone had been wrestling in NJPW and STARDOM before a broken ankle put her on the sidelines in May 2023.

Prior to that, the star spent several months out of the ring after walking out of the May 16th, 2022 episode of WWE Raw alongside Naomi. Although Mone has been linked with a return to the company, no deal has been forthcoming.

However, speaking in a new interview with Evan T Mack on the Kick Rocks Wrestling Podcast, the former Sasha Banks said she knows she’ll return to WWE one day. The line was cut from the original video of the interview, but was released as a “Mack Cut.”

“I know I’m going to be back there one day. It’s not over. I have a lot of unfinished business in wrestling in a lot of places,”

Mercedes Mone Addresses WWE Exit

During the interview, Mercedes Mone broke down why she left WWE. The star described her decision to leave as one of the hardest but most rewarding of her life.

“Something inside of me told me that I needed to go do this and stand up for myself. It was a very hard decision because wrestling in WWE has been my whole life. People don’t know, it’s been my whole life. It’s the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make in my whole life, but it’s the proudest.”

Mercedes Mone’s first opponent in AEW might have been revealed on the March 2nd episode of Collision. On the show, Serena Deeb cut a promo talking up her ability and undefeated record since returning to AEW before referring to herself as “The Final Boss.” A reference many believe is linked to Mone.
