Mercedes Mone “Not Done” With Bayley
Mercedes Mone waved goodbye to WWE in 2022 and is now part of New Japan Pro Wrestling but despite that, she thinks things are far from over between her and Bayley.
When Mone was known as Sasha Banks in WWE, she and Bayley morphed between best friends and bitter enemies several times, serving up some classic matches. The two women also paired up to become the first to hold WWE’s revived Women’s Tag Team Championship and held that title twice together.
Speaking at Planet Comic Con, Mercedes Mone was asked who she’d like to mix it up with if she returned to WWE and named one NXT star she’d be keen to face as well as adding that she’s not done yet with Bayley:
“I really like Zoey Stark in NXT. She is super talented and amazing. She is ready to blast off and shine and given the opportunity, I would love to see her on Raw or SmackDown. Of course, my girl Bayley. I’m not done with her yet. I love her, I think she’s amazing.
Mone then said she’d love to compete in an Iron Woman match against Natalya:
“Natalya. She’s one of my favorites and I feel like I never really got the opportunity to have a long match with her. I’d like to have an Iron Woman match with her. I used to train with her and we used to train for an hour, non-stop, just calling. I know me and her would have an incredible Iron Woman match.”
Mercedes Mone recently addressed AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s upcoming joint Forbidden Door show and says she’s waiting for that call.
