Matt Hardy Gives His Take On Jeff Jarrett Joining AEW

Matt Hardy has given his opinion on what it means for AEW to have a Hall of Famer like Jeff Jarrett in the company.

When WWE and Impact/TNA Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett made his AEW Dynamite debut on November 2nd, he became a part of an on-screen storyline while also taking on a role behind the scenes as AEW’s Director of Business Development.

The AEW roster is full of talented veterans like Matt Hardy, who became a television star in WWE in the late 1990s and recently celebrated 30 years as a pro wrestler. Jarrett has wrestling in his blood since his grandmother and father were successful promoters, which is what led to Jarrett starting TNA (now Impact Wrestling) in 2002.

During their Hall of Fame careers, Matt worked with Jarrett in WWE, TNA and now AEW.

On a recent episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt spoke about what Jarrett adds to AEW.

“I think he brings a ton of experience. He has worked so much on the business side of pro wrestling. … He is so gifted with all this great experience and all this stuff with TNA and Impact that he did. So, I mean, there are a lot of things that are very beneficial, a lot of qualities that Jeff Jarrett has that can help continue to grow AEW as a brand.”

While Matt Hardy is currently not advertised for a match at AEW Full Gear on November 19th, Jarrett will be in tag team action with Jay Lethal as they face off against Sting & Darby Allin. It will be Jarrett’s first match in AEW.
