There was a big title match taped by WWE for the 20th of February edition of NXT but it may have ended in disaster.

The 13th of February edition of NXT saw a major NXT Women’s Championship match confirmed with Lyra Valkyria set to defend against SmackDown’s Shotzi.

That match was to air on the 20th of February edition of the show with WWE taping an extra week of television as they are heading to Australia for Elimination Chamber.

Corey Brennan of Fightful was the first to report that the match between Valkyria and Shotzi was stopped after Shotzi went for a DDT on her opponent on the apron. The match was then stopped and Shotzi was helped backstage. It is believed she may have injured her knee after landing awkwardly on the floor but the extent of her injury is not yet known.

Shotzi Joins Injured List In WWE

There are several stars currently on the shelf in WWE as they battle back from injury. Rey Mysterio is currently out of action after requiring surgery on his knee.

Charlotte Flair has given a positive update on her condition as she battles back from a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus that she suffered during a match on WWE SmackDown in December 2023.
