Mandy Rose can celebrate because she has made it to one year as the NXT Women’s Champion.

It was on October 26th, 2021 when Mandy Rose defeated Raquel Gonzalez (now Rodriguez) on the Halloween Havoc episode of NXT. Fast forward 365 days later and Rose is still the NXT Women’s Champion as of October 26th.

Ever since winning the NXT Women’s Title, which is the first title she has won in her seven-year WWE career, Rose has beaten everybody put in front of her. That includes women like Zoey Stark, Roxanne Perez, Wendy Choo, Io Shirai (IYO SKY), Cora Jade and most recently, Alba Fyre at the 2022 Halloween Havoc Premium Live Event.

Rose’s WWE career started when she was a contestant on the 2015 season of Tough Enough. While Rose immediately stood out due to her beauty, she also is very athletic and talented on the microphone. All of those skills have made her into a bonafide WWE superstar.

In 2021, WWE’s decision-makers decided to move Rose away from the main roster (she had runs on Raw & Smackdown during her career) and put her in NXT. That led to forming of a heel stable called Toxic Attraction with Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin, who are former two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. Jayne & Dolin helped Rose keep her title against Fyre at Halloween Havoc.

The longest reign for an NXT Women’s Champion belongs to Asuka, who held the title and never lost it for 522 days. Shayna Baszler has the second-longest reign at 416 days, so Rose could pass Baszler if she keeps her title for less than two months.

This has been a year of highs and lows for Rose. In September, she announced she was engaged to former NXT wrestler Tino Sabbatelli while earlier this month one of her brothers passed away.

It was announced on the October 25th edition of NXT that Rose is going to have a 1-Year NXT Women’s Championship Celebration on the November 1st edition of NXT.
