Major WWE Star Confirms He Will Be Out Of Action For Months
A top WWE star has confirmed suffering an injury, while revealing they will be out for months.
Santos Escobar re-signed with the Stamford promotion after his contract expired in October last year. His contract situation, especially, gained traction because he was seemingly headed to AEW.
However, a week later, Escobar re-entered the company with a fresh contract and a salary upgrade.
Despite the buzz surrounding him, he was kept off WWE TV for the next two months. On the January 17 taping of AAA on FOX, he made his return to television, attacking El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in the process.
Both superstars kick-started a feud there on. To help their feud gain momentum in the United States, they were featured on an NXT Live show in Nashville, where Escobar defeated Wagner Jr. in a singles match.
Reportedly, Santos Escobar sustained an injury to his triceps, something which he has been carrying ever since.
The WWE star even competed in the final of Rey de Reyes on March 14, which exacerbated the issue during the 4-way bout.

According to reports, Santos Escobar is now dealing with a torn tricep that will require surgery, scheduled for Thursday (March 20). He shared a picture on social from the hospital bed, captioning it, “I’ll be back.”
Earlier, he confirmed his injury in a backstage promo, which he addressed toward El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.
The reason I came to AAA, Wagner, is to show you what real Lucha Libre is. That you’re not on my level and that your mask is not the most beautiful in Mexican Lucha Libre. What you did today is unforgivable. The medical report says I’ll be out for months… Months. This is what I do, to provide for my family and my legacy, and you messed with it.
When I come back, because you better believe I’m coming back, I’m no longer just coming back for that title, this time, I’m coming for what you value the most, the thing you say is the most beautiful in Mexican Lucha Libre. Be careful what you wish for.
