Jeff Hardy is still officially signed to AEW, but he reportedly won’t be back on company programming for another while yet.

Don’t expect to see Jeff Hardy back on AEW programming any time soon.

‘The Charismatic Enigma’ was arrested again in June, mere weeks after a concerning performance at Double or Nothing opposite The Young Bucks. Now, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson has come through with a fresh update, outlining the goals for Jeff that AEW wants him to reach before allowing him back on AEW television.

Per the report, Jeff Hardy is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on Wednesday, 19 October after his right to a speedy trial was waived by his lawyers. He’s not expected to return to AEW until these legal matters are resolved and he’s proven he can maintain his sobriety.

Hardy had previously pleaded not guilty to the DUI charges he faced after being arrested on Monday, 13 June. The offence is his third DUI-related charge in ten years.

Released from WWE on 9 December after it was reported he had denied an offer of rehab from WWE, Jeff Hardy debuted with All Elite Wrestling on the 9 March Dynamite. Reunited with his brother Matt, Jeff’s reckless in-ring style and aging body worried fans, particularly following his clash with Darby Allin. It’s now unknown when, exactly, we’ll next see him.
