Major TNA Champion Kicks Off WWE NXT With A Huge Win At MSG

Following last night’s edition of Monday Night RAW, WWE NXT aired tonight from the World’s Most Famous Arena, and the show emanated live from New York’s Madison Square Garden.

The night was expected to be highly exciting, with multiple huge matches announced for the MSG show, including one where the NXT Universe got to witness the TNA World Champion in action.

The division’s tag team division has been divided into different storylines, with the OTM and DarkState involved in a brawl of their own. Fittingly enough, the two factions kicked off the night as well.

Mike Santana kicks WWE NXT off with a win

The night began with a six-man tag team match which saw Osiris Griffin, Shaquan Shugars, and Dion Lennox take on OTM, who had recruited the TNA World Champion, Mike Santana, to their cause.

DarkState began the match on the front foot as they kept OTM away from Santana, but once the hometown hero stepped in the ring, the momentum shifted completely.

He ultimately helped his side to a win as he kept the rest of DarkState at bay as OTM hit their finisher on Shugars in the ring, which sealed the win for themselves and Mike Santana on NXT tonight.
