Lola Vice Escapes WWE NXT With Championship After Chaotic Main Event

The main event of WWE NXT saw a huge title match close out the show tonight as Lola Vice put her NXT Women’s Championship on the line against The Culling’s Izzi Dame.

Ever since losing the Women’s North American Title to Tatum Paxley, Izzi has been feuding with the NXT Women’s Champion, and the two of them came face-to-face in the ring tonight.

Izzi and Lola had been at each other’s throats and even used their respective in-ring partners for some help to get the upper hand. Dame had Niko Vance do her bidding while Lola brought on Mr Iguana for some help.

The duo went to extreme lengths in their title match tonight in a bid to leave the show as the NXT Women’s Champion. They were evenly matched for much of the match before a huge ending to their bout.

Lola Vice retains the NXT Women’s Title

Izzi went to hit the running knee on Lola to get the win, but the champion moved, and she instead hit the referee. While the referee was knocked out, Lola hit a spinning backfist on Dame and went for the cover, but the referee wasn’t there to count.

He came back to his senses after the crowd had already counted Dame to be down for eight seconds, before kicking out of the referee’s official count at two. As the referee still wasn’t at a 100%, Izzi tried to take advantage of the situation.

She threw the title at Lola, but the champion caught the belt near her face. This turned out to be a ruse, and she hit a big boot to Lola’s face, with the title knocking her out. She went for the cover and seemed destined for a win, but the champion kicked out.

Lola then got back into the match with her submission move, before getting out of the way of another big boot and following it up with a spinning backfist, which got her the pin this time, and she retained the NXT Women’s Title.
