Logan Paul Accepts Ricochet’s SummerSlam Challenge

The rumored match between Ricochet and Logan Paul has been set for SummerSlam, which takes place on August 5th.

The match between Paul and Ricochet has been building since January when both men pulled off a bedazzling spot in the Royal Rumble match that spread quickly across social media.

Months later, Logan Paul got himself a spot in the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match; but unlike everyone else, Paul didn’t have to earn his spot, which angered Ricochet. The two then had another exchange in said MITB ladder match which prevented both of them from winning it.

After weeks of build, Ricochet called Logan Paul out and then cut a passionate promo about how Logan Paul was a “pr**k” and didn’t belong in the wrestling business. He lambasted Paul for not respecting the business or the sacrifices Ricochet and the other wrestlers made so that they could wrestle for WWE. As Ricochet continued telling the fans why he hated him, Paul attacked Ricochet from behind.

After gloating for a minute or so, Logan Paul mocked Ricochet some more and then accepted his challenge, thus making the SummerSlam match between them official.

Logan Paul then took out his cellphone as he mocked some fans at ringside. As he prepared to make a video for social media, Ricochet did a kip-up, waited for Paul to turn around, and hit both a superkick and a running shooting star splash.

As of this writing, there are now seven matches confirmed for SummerSlam:

  1. Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar
  2. Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso in a Tribal Combat (Anything Goes) match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and the title of “Tribal Chief”
  3. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor for the World Heavyweight Championship
  4. Asuka vs. Charlotte vs. Bianca Belair for the WWE Women’s Championship
  5. Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler
  6. Logan Paul vs. Ricochet
  7. GUNTHER vs. Drew McIntyre for the Intercontinental Championship.
