Likely Timeline For Rhea Ripley’s WWE Return

Rhea Ripley WWE

Rhea Ripley’s high-flying success as WWE’s Women’s World Champion has been cut short by an injury forcing her to give up her gold.

Rhea Ripley was one of WWE’s most dominant champions, holding the Women’s World Championship for 380 days. The Judgment Day’s Eradicator continued her success at WrestleMania 40 as she defeated Becky Lynch to retain her gold.

However, on the Raw following WWE’s showpiece event, disaster struck. Rhea Ripley was attacked backstage by Liv Morgan with Ripley’s shoulder being driven into the wall and it seemed that beyond storyline, that caused a very real injury.

Rhea Ripley Back By SummerSlam?

On Raw in Montreal, Rhea Ripley vacated her Women’s World Championship only to be taunted by Liv Morgan as a result. Ripley noted she faced many months out of the ring and now a new report has given more detail on how long the Australian star is going to miss.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez indicated how long Rhea Ripley is likely to be out of action due to her injury:

She suffered an AC joint sprain in the brawl with Liv Morgan last week on Raw. She was thrown into the wall and boom there goes the shoulder. An injury like that, probably 4-6 weeks to regain mobility and then usually 3 months to be back in action so she had to vacate the title.

That timeline would see Ripley be able to return in time for SummerSlam in Cleveland, Ohio where she would be likely looking for revenge, if not her title back.
