The Hardy Boyz have strongly hinted at a return to WWE.

The legendary duo are currently competing in TNA Wrestling, where they reunited after Jeff Hardy returned to save brother Matt from a post-match beat down following an unsuccessful attempt to prise the TNA Championship from Moose at Against All Odds on 14th June.

TNA are currently enjoying a strong working relationship with WWE, in particular with the NXT brand with a number of crossover taking place in recent months including multiple WWE appearances for TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace and the emergence of Joe Hendry as popular force on NXT.

The Hardy Boyz have captured tag team gold across the world in a career spanning over 30 years but have yet to capture the NXT Tag Team Championship. Speaking during a recent interview with Bill Apter for WrestleBinge, Matt Hardy confirmed the pair would be interested in competing for the belts on the yellow brand:

“In wrestling, never say never. I will say that the NXT tag team titles are not on our list of titles that we’ve won, so we are interested in that.

The crossover between TNA and NXT is great. It’s exciting. It’s unpredictable. That’s a positive for the business and industry.”

Potential WWE Return Excites Jeff Hardy

Former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy shared his brother’s excitement about a potential return to a WWE ring, noting that he was felt a return was meant to be whilst praising TNA’s recent partnership with WWE and highlighting the recent success of Joe Hendry on both brands:

“I’m a fan of first time evers and us in NXT, just the vision of that, is very exciting to me.

When Matt first showed up in TNA, my wife called me and said, ‘Did you know Matt was going to TNA?’ ‘No. I had no idea.’ Then I watched the footage. ‘Oh my God.’ To myself, I speak with my soul, I said, ‘There is no way we’re going to TNA.’ Then I let that dwell, I thought about it, ‘Wait a minute, I had a lot of cool moments and created a lot of great memories in TNA.’

Then, it was last notice, we had the conversation, I agreed to go back. It feels right, like it’s supposed to be this way. Joe Hendry in NXT, all that stuff is exciting.”
