LA Knight Will Receive Key To Hometown City

LA Knight

LA Knight is about to say “yeah” to the key to the city in his hometown during the holiday season.

It has been a breakout year for LA Knight in WWE. The veteran wrestler started the year feuding with Bray Wyatt leading to a loss for Knight at the Royal Rumble, but ever since then, Knight has continued to build momentum.

In the months that followed, Knight became one of the most popular wrestlers in WWE thanks in part to catchphrases like yelling “yeah” and starting promos by saying “let me talk to ya.”

LA Knight won the fans over so much that he challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at Full Gear in November. Knight failed to win the gold that night due to The Bloodline, but he remains focused on taking down The Tribal Chief.

While Knight has yet to win a championship on the WWE main roster, his hometown of Hagerstown, Maryland has bestowed a terrific honor on him by awarding Knight with a key to the city on Saturday, December 23rd. The announcement was made on the Hagerstown, MD city website and social media outlets.

“The City of Hagerstown will present one of its own, and currently one of the most popular Superstars in World Wrestling Entertainment, with the key to the city on Saturday, December 23 at noon at University Plaza.

Now known around the globe as ‘LA Knight’, Shaun Ricker was born in Hagerstown on November 1, 1982 and graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 2000.

The public is invited to attend this recognition ceremony on Saturday as he returns to his hometown to receive this unique and well-deserved honor. “Yeah!”

When Did AJ Styles Do To LA Knight On WWE Smackdown?

It was December 8th on Smackdown when LA Knight and Randy Orton beat The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa in a tag team match.

One week later on Smackdown in Green Bay, Knight came to Orton’s aid against The Bloodline’s Jimmy, Solo and Roman Reigns. However, they were outnumbered, so they needed help and that’s when AJ Styles made his return after three months away. Styles helped Knight and Orton clear the ring of The Bloodline.

What happened next was a shock to the fans because Styles decked an unsuspecting Knight with a clothesline. It appears that Knight will have to deal with an angry AJ Styles moving forward.
