Kevin Owens Acknowledges WWE Employees Who Deserve More Credit
Kevin Owens is grateful for the great work that some behind-the-scenes WWE employees are doing.
The former WWE Universal Champion, Kevin Owens, has worked for the company for over a decade, starting in NXT and working his way up to become a 2-time WrestleMania main-eventer.
Sadly, Kevin Owens had neck surgery in July 2025 and hasn’t had a match since March 2025. It’s not known exactly when Owens may return to the ring, but it could be later this summer if things go well with his neck surgery recovery.
As a pro wrestler for over 20 years, Owens has seen it all and done it all. He’s also known for his genuine kindness and paying respect to others who deserve it.
In a social media video, TKO Group posted a video featuring WWE Vice President, Talent Relations John Cone (a former referee), Senior Manager, Talent Relations Aggie Dent and Director, Talent Relations Zachary Maxwell.
Writing on X/Twitter, Kevin Owens praised the great work that Cone, Dent and Maxwell do, along with their team.
“John, Zach and Aggie are some of the best people I’ve met in my 26 years in wrestling. They don’t get nearly enough recognition for what they do for all the men and women you see on WWE television every week.
It’s unfortunate to see some folks go after them for decisions that have absolutely nothing to do with them.
To the contrary, these 3 go above and beyond every week to help your favorite wrestler any way they can.
Each of them has gone out of their way multiple times for me and my family and I can’t overstate how grateful I am to have them as colleagues.”
Longtime WWE fans will know John Cone from his years as a referee. While Cone is no longer a referee, he did spend many years in the role.

Kevin Owens Back On WWE TV With LFG
The third season of WWE LFG premiered on Sunday, April 26th, with a new format. While the wrestlers on the show are under WWE contract and have yet to become household names on television, the coaching has changed.
Instead of having four separate teams of wrestlers, the coaches/mentors on the show are there to instruct and help wrestlers get through matches, rather than to coach a team.
The WWE LFG season three coaches are WWE Hall of Famers Bubba Ray Dudley and Booker T, along with active WWE superstars Natalya (aka Nattie) and Kevin Owens.
When Kevin Owens spoke about why he’s on WWE LFG as a coach, Owens explained it simply because he missed the business of pro wrestling.
“I’ve been wrestling for 25 years. Ultimately, for me, I just want to help the next generation. Also, I don’t really know what I’d do with myself if I didn’t. This is all I’ve done since I was 15. This is what I love and have always loved. Right now, I’ve been off for eight, nine months, because of my neck surgery. I’m losing it. I just want to be around it.”
