Details about Kevin Owens’ next WWE appearance have been revealed.

The Canadian superstar has been out of action since April 4 last year, when he revealed that he had been dealing with a neck issue and would be undergoing surgery.

After examining all available options, he underwent surgery on July 18. Owens is expected to miss WrestleMania 42 on April 18 & 19 after missing WrestleMania 41 last year.

However, he has been announced for the WrestleMania weekend as part of WWE World along with AJ Styles, who is an inductee in the Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

Kevin Owens Revealed When He Suffered Injury

In the lead-up to WrestleMania 41, Kevin Owens had been feuding with Randy Orton, resulting in a match made between them for the Show of Shows.

However, after Owens’ injury revelation, Orton was left with no opponent and issued a challenge on the live show, which was answered by then-TNA World Champion Joe Hendry.

While speaking on the My Mom’s Basement podcast, the 41-year-old revealed that he got an MRI scan done just to satiate his own curiosity. The reports at the time showed everything as positive.

He then revealed feeling something during a match in January 2025.

But then in January I had a match and in the match I had two things happen that really jarred my neck and that’s when the issues started so I knew there was something. And then we ended up doing an MRI this week and found out that it’s serious. So I think that match in January is what did it because I had an MRI the month before that and everything looked fine.

Owens has held the Universal Championship once and is one of WWE’s few Grand Slam Champions.
