Karrion Kross Attire Was Originally Intended For Former WWE Tag Team

The ridiculous outfit that Karrion Kross wears during his entrance on WWE Raw was originally intended for a tag team from the past, according to a former WWE star.

While Kross did not have a menacing red mask as part of his entrance during his run in NXT, he has had it over the last several weeks on Raw. Even though Kross lost to Jeff Hardy in his debut match on Raw, he has been picking up a lot of wins since then.

Erick Rowan is a former WWE Tag Team Champion from when he teamed with Luke Harper. There were times when they used those names while they also had a run as the Bludgeon Brothers.

Speaking to the Chairshots to the Cranium podcast, the former Rowan (now known as Erick Redbeard) noted that what Kross wears to the ring now is what WWE actually pitched for The Bludgeon Brothers several years ago.

“I remember the first pitch meeting for it. They showed us pictures of what they wanted The Bludgeon Brothers to look like. I think it’s almost exactly what Karrion Kross is wearing right now. It’s the Demolition leather straps that look like suspenders while you wrestle. We both looked at each other like, ‘No…’ I think that’s when I had a few friends design some things.”

When Harper and Rowan wrestled as The Bludgeon Brothers, they had outfits covering their body and carried oversized hammers with them on their way to the ring. They had a Smackdown Tag Team Championship run in 2018.

Rowan was released by WWE in 2020. Sadly, his tag team partner Harper passed away in December 2020 while he was a part of the AEW roster. When AEW had a tribute show for Harper, Rowan appeared to honor Harper.

As for Karrion Kross, he remains a regular on the Raw roster that keeps wearing that unique attire.
