John Cena is making a return to the blue brand soon!

While John Cena is a 16-time World Champion, he’s more likely to be found in Hollywood these days than inside the squared circle. The star has a number of projects in the works, including Ricky Stanicky and Vacation Friends 2, which is set to air on Hulu later this week.

However, according to a new report from Ryan Satin for Fox Sports, Cena is on his way back to WWE for another appearance on the September 1st episode of SmackDown in Hershey, PA. In addition, he will be headed overseas with the company when they present the Superstar Spectacle in Hyderabad, India on September 8th. The Superstar Spectacle is not set to be televised in the United States.

There is currently no information as to whether Cena is planned to wrestle at either event.

Fans last saw the star during a surprise appearance inside the O2 Arena at Money in the Bank, when Cena speculated on the idea of WrestleMania coming to London. He was interrupted by Grayson Waller, who insisted Australia would be a better venue for the blockbuster event before receiving an AA for his trouble.

When Was John Cena’s Last Match?

John Cena’s last bout inside the squared circle came in April when he took on Austin Theory for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 39. While Cena had harsh words for Theory in the leadup to the match, it was Theory who emerged victorious on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

In a recent interview, Theory opened up about advice from John Cena on that day, with the 16-time World Champion telling him to enjoy the day and enjoy the moment.

The Holywood star’s latest movie will be released in October.
