John Cena References Ghost From CM Punk’s Past After WWE RAW Pipebomb
Right after CM Punk dropped his new version of the pipebomb, John Cena sent him a message.
The Second City Saint shocked everyone on this week’s episode of RAW when his promo didn’t stop at just targeting Roman Reigns. The Voice of the Voiceless took shots at The Rock as well as TKO, asking the company to lower the ticket prices for WrestleMania 42. Shortly after this, The Leader of Cenation has now made a public statement regarding Punk’s stance.
John Cena Backs Up CM Punk After the Pipebomb Promo
The Never Seen 17 posted an image of CM Punk delivering the pipebomb promo. However, instead of the one he delivered this week, Cena shared the picture of his original June 27, 2011, version.

The post didn’t carry any caption, as is true with all Instagram posts the Leader of Cenation uploads. However, posting this image at this moment is a clear nod from Cena to Punk, saying that he likely approves of the message of the Second City Saint.
The World Heavyweight Champion kicked off this week’s Monday Night RAW episode, saying that he singlehandedly put Roman Reigns through the commentary desk. He then answered why WWE didn’t send him to Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, stating that he isn’t safe like Reigns, but unpredictable.
CM Punk then took shots at The Rock, calling him a former Hollywood star. He then took aim at Pat McAfee, who had attacked Cody Rhodes at last week’s episode of SmackDown. The former RAW commentator had alleged that WWE can’t sell tickets for WrestleMania 42 because The American Nightmare has caused the business to go downhill.
The Straight Edge Superstar called McAfee out, stating that if he really cares about the business, he should go and ask TKO to lower the ticket prices. Saying this, he crossed the barricade and joined the spectators of Houston, Texas, as everyone cheered for him.
So far, it isn’t clear if this was a genuine pipebomb or a scripted act. It would be interesting to see what lies ahead for CM Punk after this bold move.
