AEW has announced when Jim Ross will be returning to the commentary desk.

In early November, Jim Ross announced he would be taking some time off from AEW as he continued treatment in the aftermath of his battle with skin cancer. The WWE Hall of Famer has suffered numerous health struggles in the past few years, and in a recent update revealed he was dealing with diabetes and had stopped drinking alcohol.

However, in a positive sign for JR, AEW has announced he will be making his return on the December 20th edition of Dynamite, which will take place in the Paycom Center in his home state of Oklahoma.

Tony Schiavone broke the news on the latest episode of the AEW Control Center, which was breaking down the contents of Dynamite, which includes matches that will have implications for the semi-finals of the Continental Classic.

“Come join us for some great action in the Continental Classic and more, including welcoming back JR. That’s right, Jim Ross will be with us tonight in Oklahoma City. We’ll celebrate the holidays with JR and have some great action, as we also help Toys for Tots.”
