Jim Cornette Claims The Fiend Is “Pretty Much Done”

Braun Strowman The Fiend Bray Wyatt

Jim Cornette has taken a very brazen approach towards Bray Wyatt, claiming that The Fiend would be booed out of the building in AEW.

Bray Wyatt was released from his WWE contract on 31st July 2021, in a move which was shocking to many given the prominence the character had been given over the previous couple of years. At the time, he had been absence since WrestleMania after his storyline with Randy Orton had ended.

Since then, The Fiend has not shown up elsewhere in the wrestling world, and outside public appearances, Bray Wyatt has not stepped inside the squared circle. Speaking on his Drive Thru podcast, Jim Cornette feels Wyatt has backed himself in to a corner with where his next move can be.

What do you do to a guy in the wrestling business after you’ve f*cking burned him alive on national television? He’s pretty much done. He’s going to start over somewhere, doing something if he wants to stay in the wrestling business. And nobody’s going to give him seven figures a year to start over and do something different. And The Fiend would be roundly booed out of the building in AEW.

Maybe the guy Bray Wyatt, they’d love him. They can’t do The Fiend. The fans wouldn’t like it and they don’t have the budget. They ain’t going to pay Bray Wyatt millions of dollars to try something from scratch. So, he’s in a little bit of a pickle.

Whilst many still expect The Fiend to turn up in AEW, a WWE Hall Of Famer has claimed that they wouldn’t be surprised if Wyatt returned to WWE television.
