AJ Styles Wants RAW Star To Become World Champion In WWE: “I’d like To See It Happen”

AJ Styles expressed his desire to see a top star on RAW become the world champion in WWE. The star in discussion is LA Knight.

Since his WWE main roster debut in 2022, LA Knight has continued his rise in popularity, as fans have consistently rallied behind him for the past few years. However, Knight has yet to become a World Champion despite his incredible rise in popularity. He has been a two-time United States Champion during his run.

LA Knight participated in the King of the Ring tournament recently but failed to advance after losing in the first round. After fans questioned WWE’s decision not to push Knight, a recent report revealed that multiple people backstage believe Knight being in the main event doesn’t make sense, as they feel giving him the title will have no long-term benefits:

Not everyone is happy with the way things have gone. Him being in the main event makes sense to fans but not to MULTIPLE people backstage who feel that giving LA the title would be a one and done thing with no real long term benefit.”

He has one or two people who have spoken up for him for sure, and Triple H did hint that there was a plan, but either way it’s not expected to be a long term one if it happens.”

AJ Styles wants the WWE RAW star to become a World Champion

Speaking on his Phenomenally Retro Podcast, AJ Styles said that LA Knight can be a World Champion in WWE:

Oh, well, of course, LA Knight. He can be a World Champion. There is no doubt about it. I mean, some guys we already know. Oba Femi, at some point, will be a World Champion, there is no question about that.”

AJ Styles also stated that he hopes LA Knight becomes World Champion, saying he has earned it, while applauding his amazing mic skills:

I do hope he (LA Knight) gets to be World Champion. I really think that he has earned it. His mic work is pretty freaking awesome. So, he is a guy that can hold a heavyweight championship, no problem, and he has got the mouth to back it up. I’d like to see it happen,” AJ said.            [H/T ITRWrestling]
