Jeff Hardy Written Off AEW Television

Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy debuted for AEW in March 2022 following his controversial departure from WWE but his time in the company has been beset by problems.

Hardy was let go by WWE after walking out of a tag team match during a live event with suggestions that he had refused an offer to go to rehab leading to his departure.

Jeff Hardy reunited with his brother Matt Hardy when he came to AEW and The Hardys picked up a big win over The Young Bucks at Double Or Nothing 2022 but issues soon came to the surface.

The former WWE Champion was suspended on June 14th by AEW following his arrest for DUI. The charges led to a 38-day jail sentence and two years of probation amid a host of other consequences for the star and Tony Khan noted that Hardy would only be welcome back in AEW if he underwent rehab and maintained his sobriety.

Jeff Hardy made his return to the company in April 2023 and he joined with his brother once again and is now a part of the group which also includes Isiah Kassidy and a reluctant Ethan Page.

Now Fightful Select has reported that Jeff Hardy is set for a hiatus from AEW once again but this is more due to circumstance this time. Hardy is said to be unable to enter Canada due to his previous arrests and the company is about to embark on a run of several dates in the company.

Hardy appeared on Dynamite where he teamed with Matt in a loss to The Gunns. The Hardys were taken out by Bullet Club Gold afterward with the attack possibly writing Jeff Hardy off TV for the time being although it is possible that the company will showcase him in pre-tapes during the Canadian shows.

AEW will return to the US following their shows in Canada on July 19th when Dynamite comes to the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
