Jeff Hardy Makes AEW Debut On Dynamite

After months of speculation, former WWE Superstar Jeff Hardy has made his debut with AEW on the latest episode of Dynamite.

During the March 9th edition of AEW Dynamite, Andrade El Idolo proposed a vote on Matt Hardy’s future in the AHFO. While it seemed like Private Party would back up their longtime ally, the young stars instead turned their backs on the boss, allowing Andrade to attack from behind.

Sting and Darby Allin ran to the ring to try to stop the assault, but the numbers were too much. However, none other than Jeff Hardy entered the arena to a massive ovation and came to the aid of his brother Matt. The iconic duo then turned the tables on their rivals to stand tall.

Surprisingly, Jeff Hardy entered to the Hardy Boyz best-known theme song, ‘Loaded’. It had earlier been reported on Fightful Select that AEW had been trying to secure rights to the song, which wasn’t owned by WWE even though they used it for over two decades.

It has been expected that Hardy would sign with AEW since his WWE release on December 9th. Hardy himself even admitted he was going to join the company during a recent interview, although he soon issued a statement attempting to backtrack on the comment.

‘The Charismatic Enigma’ was let go by WWE days after being sent home from a live tour where he was seemingly acting erratically. Hardy then refused the company’s demand he attended rehab as he knew the drug tests he had taken in the aftermath of the incident would be negative. Instead, the former WWE Champion told the company they may as well release him.

It was later reported that Jeff Hardy turned down an offer to return to the company which would have included being inducted into the Hall of Fame, instead asking for the results of the drug tests.

It had already been announced that the Hardy Boyz will be reuniting on March 12th in Big Time Wrestling. This will be the first time that the brothers have wrestled together since 2019.
