On the September 23 episode of WWE NXT, Jazmyn Nyx was written off.

A segment showed her facing an attack backstage, following which Jacy Jayne coldly said, “It was time to drop her anyway.”

The next day, it was revealed that she would be parting ways with the promotion.

While the initial reports suggested that WWE had decided to not offer her a new contract, it is now confirmed that it was Jazmyn Nyx who opted against renewal.

The 27-year-old star took to her Instagram to clear the air surrounding her departure, and why she did not re-sign with the Stamford promotion.

In the video, Jazmyn Nyx clarified that she was not happy with the renumeration the company was offering her.

As you know, there have been things circulating and I wanted to set the record straight — I’m not re-signing with WWE. This was a personal decision. The contract they were offering me for the next three years just wasn’t going to cut it for me financially. That’s okay, but I wanted to give some background on everything. I was playing professional soccer in Iceland when WWE recruited me for this opportunity, which I’m grateful for.

Early on, I was held back — I had four knee surgeries and had to recover and rebuild my knees before I could even step in the ring. As some of you know, I broke my nose, which is why I was wearing my mask. I also had other injuries and concussions that kept me off TV for a while. Let’s just say there were other opportunities I had to turn down and pass up. Now that I’m out of a job, I can finally explore those options and take them more seriously. [H/T: Ringside News]

Fatal Influence Finds Replacement For Jazmyn Nyx

WWE has apparently found a suitable replacement for Jazmyn Nyx.

The talent set to take over from Nyx is Lainey Reid, who competed and won against Candice LeRae on September 23 episode of NXT.

As a result, she will challenge Sol Ruca for the Women’s Speed Championship at NXT No Mercy on Saturday.
