Jake Roberts Almost Beaten Up By Ivana Trump’s Security Guards

A WWE Hall of Famer has revealed they were once almost ambushed by security guards hired by Ivana Trump, the ex-wife of former US President Donald Trump!

Jake Roberts once narrowly escaped a run-in with Ivana Trump’s hired security guards.

As ‘The Snake’ revealed to Diamond Dallas Page on this week’s DDP Snake Pit podcast, two security guards were reportedly hired by the first wife of Donald Trump to assault Jake at WrestleMania IV. The attack ultimately fell through and Jake Roberts escaped unscathed:

“I found out at WrestleMania VII that she actually tried to hire two of her guards to come into my hotel room and beat the f*cking sh*t out of me, and Donald affirmed it. Donald loves me. I don’t know if it’s just because of that, but he loves me, and I’m so glad.”

Jake Roberts, who went to a draw with ‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude at the fourth ‘Showcase of the Immortals’ in the vacant WWF Championship tournament, recalled why, exactly, Ivana Trump took issue with him. He noted how he swung his pet snake toward her after the match with Rude, causing her to fall back on her chair:

“I remember Ivana [Trump] sitting at ringside not even looking at the ring. She had her little champagne glass with the bottle, you know, the big bottle in the cooler, and she turned her chair sideways. Donald’s going crazy for the match and she’s just sipping. She won’t even look. So that’s the reason that happened at the end whenever I came out on her side and I grabbed a snake and I swung it at her, and she pushed her chair too far back and she fell backwards.”

Donald and Ivana Trump’s involvement at the event was due to ‘Mania being billed as emanating from the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, rather than its actual host venue of the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Donald Trump was noted as a sponsor for the night, which culminated in Randy Savage achieving his first of two WWE Championship reigns.
