The hunt for the NXT Women’s Championship is heating up week by week, with NXT Stand & Deliver just a couple of weeks away now, and the current women’s champion, Jacy Jayne, is still without a challenger.

She defended the title last week in Houston, Texas, in a triple threat match against Sol Ruca and Zaria, and took advantage of their heated rivalry to come away with the win.

She was present on the ringside tonight during the opening match of the show, which saw Fatal Influence lose to Wrenn Sinclair and Kendal Grey, before Lola Vice made an appearance.

Lola Vice comes one step closer to NXT Women’s Title Opportunity

Following her win tonight, Kendal Grey stated that she tapped out Lainey Reid tonight and Wrenn Sinclair has already taken the Speed Title from Fallon Henley. She followed it up by claiming that now she will take the NXT Women’s Title off Jacy Jayne at Stand & Deliver.

However, as soon as she stated her claim, she was interruped by one-half of the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions, Lola Vice. She came out and said that its time that a new woman runs this division.

She claimed that Kendal will become the NXT Women’s Champion one day, but not right now. After both women had made their claims, Robert Stone came out and announced a huge number one contender’s match for next week.

With next week’s NXT taking place at the Madison Square Garden in New York, Lola Vice and Kendal Grey will face each other one-on-one, with the winner challenging Jacy Jayne at Stand & Deliver.
