Jacob Fatu Kicks Off WWE SmackDown; Threatens to “Burn” The Bloodline
Tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown served as the go-home episode for WWE Backlash, which is set to be the promotion’s first Premium Live Event following WrestleMania 42.
The show is set to feature some exciting matches on the card, including Roman Reigns’ first defense of his World Heavyweight Championship against his cousin, Jacob Fatu.
The Samoan Werewolf kicked off tonight’s episode as he spoke about his intention of dethroning Roman as champion so he can provide better for his family.
Jacob Fatu issues a major warning on WWE SmackDown
While Fatu was addressing the crowd, he was interrupted by The Usos, who came out to talk to their cousin. The Usos warned Fatu about his fate at WWE Backlash 2026, claiming that Roman is going to beat him tomorrow.
Jey stated that Jacob will suffer the same fate that he did as he won’t just lose to Roman, he will be broken down by Reigns. They told him that Roman will break him down in front of his family and they all will acknowledge him as their Tribal Chief.
Fatu refused to believe what his cousins told him and told that he will be the one to defeat Reigns, unlike Jey. He claimed that at Backlash, the only thing his family will see, is him as the new World Heavyweight Champion. He went on to warn The Usos to not interrupt in his match tomorrow or he will “burn this family to the ground.”
