IYO SKY’s Next Challenger Revealed On SmackDown

IYO SKY

IYO SKY now knows who she’ll be defending her WWE Women’s Title against on the October 20th SmackDown.

On SmackDown in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Damage CTRL made their presence felt as Bayley took on the LWO’s Zelina Vega. Bayley picked up the victory but things were far from over as Bayley, IYO SKY, and Dakota Kai continued to assault Vega after the match.

That led to Charlotte Flair running to the ring to make the save and chasing Damage CTRL away. Later in the evening, Charlotte Flair was seen in new SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis’ office and there was a huge face-off that took place as The Queen turned around to come nose-to-nose with Jade Cargill. The two women briefly exchanged words but perhaps the seed had been planted for what would be a huge match somewhere down the line.

IYO SKY vs. Charlotte Flair confirmed for SmackDown

It was later confirmed in the show that Charlotte Flair would get a one-on-one shot for the WWE Women’s Championship against IYO SKY when SmackDown emanates from San Antonio, Texas on October 20th.

Flair’s last match came at Fastlane on the 7th of October where both she and Asuka challenged IYO SKY for her title in a Triple Threat match. A win for Flair in San Antonio will see her recognised as a 15-time world champion in WWE, which will put her only one reign behind her father Ric Flair, and John Cena for the all-time record.
