Iyo Sky Names WWE Match As The Greatest Moment Of Her Life
Iyo Sky has emerged as one of WWE’s top wrestlers in recent times.
Sky is a two-time women’s world champion and has won as many tag team championships.
While her rise has not been meteoric, her recent success has earned the 35-year-old the respect of wrestling fans worldwide and of her peers.
She also successfully defended the world title at WrestleMania 41 against Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley in a triple threat match, which she calls the greatest moment of her life.
Speaking to The Japan Times, Iyo Sky revealed:
I’m apparently the first Japanese woman to win at WrestleMania. And since it was also a defense of WWE’s most prestigious title, it was definitely the greatest moment of my life. Not just the result, but also being with the best wrestlers in Bianca and Rhea. I was able to take on the best stage, the best performers, the best match, and make the most of history. Iyo Sky Likes Being A Babyface
Throughout her wrestling career in WWE, Iyo Sky has performed as a heel and as a babyface.
She was a major heel on NXT as well as when serving as a member of the Damage CTRL faction, where she also held the women’s tag team titles twice with Dakota Kai.
Currently, she’s a part of the RAW brand and is a babyface.
The Genius of the Sky recently spoke to Comicbook, where she revealed that she was enjoying her character more, now that she was a babyface.
When I was in NXT, most of the time I was as a heel. But now I am a baby face and I always smiling. I’m pointing my face and screaming and I’m so much better enjoying this way to wrestling so yeah.
Iyo Sky secured a major victory at Crown Jewel on Saturday in a personal match.
