IYO SKY Finally Reveals Why She Hugs WWE CCO Triple H

IYO SKY was recently heavily criticized for “straddling” WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H backstage.

Earlier this year, the former Women’s World Champion and The Game faced major backlash after the second season of Unreal dropped. The show aired an emotional moment between SKY and her boss, in which she jumped into his arms backstage following her match against Rhea Ripley at Evolution.

The actions of the Japanese star and Triple H were called out as “inappropriate” by several fans and experts, including former WWE head writer Vince Russo, who tweeted about it.

Sorry, guys, a female talent jumping in the arms of her Boss and literally STRADDLING HIM is TOTAL INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR—BOTH behind closed doors and in front of other talent… Was “said wrestler” excited? IYO SKY Explains Why She Hugs Her WWE Boss

In a recent interview with Denise Salcedo at WWE 2K26 Creator Fest, IYO SKY was asked about her favorite thing about being a WWE Superstar.

The Genius of the Sky admitted that sometimes she cannot believe she is around legends like Rey Mysterio and Triple H backstage, talking to and hugging them, admitting that it feels like she is dreaming.

Sometimes I’m in Gorilla or in the backstage, I’m talking with WWE Superstar like a Triple H, like a Rey Mysterio, say hello. Even I can hug them. So, I feel like I’m dreaming because still I cannot believe I’m being here sometimes. So, it’s real and I’m so much enjoying this life. [0:55 onwards]
