It’s Official! New WWE General Manager Announced
WWE has a new General Manager on board.
The Stamford-based promotion has Nick Aldis to manage SmackDown and Adam Pearce to manage RAW. However, the status of the NXT brand was up in the air following Ava’s departure on January 30, 2026. Now, the company has finally found a permanent replacement for The Rock’s daughter.
New WWE NXT General Manager Sends a Message to Fans
While the TKO-owned company didn’t have anybody to immediately fill Ava’s spot, it did assign Robert Stone as the Interim General Manager. After three months of good work, he has now become the official GM of the developmental territory. Taking to X, Stone uploaded a video thanking the fans, William Regal, and Shawn Michaels for the honor.
All right, we’re here about to kick things off at NXT Live in Wichita, Kansas, but I just wanted to say thank you so much to William Regal. Thank you so much to Shawn Michaels. And thank you to the WWE Universe, because everyone heard you. It is official, no more interim. You are looking at right here, Robert Stone, the General Manager of NXT. And that is now set in stone.”
Thank you #WWEUniverse.

Robert Stone is still getting a grip of things and has yet to learn how to leash rule-breaking stars like Keanu Carver. However, he has been making several interesting decisions as well. One of which was the steel cage match that saw Tatum Paxley defend the NXT Women’s North American Championship against Izzi Dame on a non-PLE episode.
On April 4, 2026, Stone will be managing his first-ever NXT Stand and Deliver as a full-time General Manager. It would be interesting to see how things play out under the 42-year-old.
