Is Gunther Joining The Vision On WWE RAW? Truth Revealed
Gunther shocked the WWE Universe when he ambushed Seth Rollins.
The Ring General was missing from Monday Night RAW for three straight weeks before returning and taking The Visionary out with a Sleeper Hold. While his intervention directly protected Paul Heyman, does this mean the Austrian will also be joining The Vision?
What Does WWE Plan To Do With Gunther at WrestleMania 42?
According to a new report from Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, The Career Killer and The Wiseman won’t be aligned together at WrestleMania 42. Paul Heyman isn’t likely to stand in the corner of the Austrian during his match against Seth Rollins in Las Vegas.
Additionally, the report also claimed that WWE decided to set up this match just a week ahead of the March 30, 2026, episode of RAW. Moreover, not everyone in the creative team was on board with this decision, as many favored Rollins to deal directly with The Vision. However, the rest of the members didn’t want Gunther to sit WM42 out.
The Career Killer was originally going to face Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 42. However, the Hall of Famer received a rib injury and is thus unable to compete. This is the second consecutive ‘Mania event for Mysterio where he got injured just ahead of the Showcase of the Immortals, forcing WWE to find a replacement for him.
Thus, the Seth Rollins versus Gunther encounter could likely be a one-off match, where the top stars of the company can put on a grand performance. While it does disrupt the Austrian’s Career Killer narrative and Rollins’ revenge narrative against The Vision, WWE didn’t have many options to navigate through this situation.
By the time The Architect recovered from his injury, the men who backstabbed him, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, got injured and had to be removed from active programming. On the other hand, Austin Theory and Logan Paul are additional members, who have now been handed the World Tag Team Championship. It would be interesting to see who emerges victorious between Gunther and Rollins at WM42.
