Iconic Bret Hart Spot Recreated On NXT (SPOILERS)

Bret Hart poses with Canadian flag

A memorable moment from the iconic career of WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has been recreated on an episode of NXT yet to air.

At NXT Deadline, two Iron Survivor Challenge matches took place to find number one contenders for the NXT and NXT Women’s Championships. Roxanne Perez won the women’s match and took full advantage of her title shot as she defeated Mandy Rose for the NXT Women’s Title on the 13th of December edition of NXT, one day before Mandy Rose was released from her contract.

On the men’s side of things, Grayson Waller emerged victorious as the Iron Survivor and he will challenge Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship on January 10th at New Year’s Evil.

Bryan Alvarez ran through some of the spoilers for the next few weeks worth of NXT television that were filmed on the 14th of December on Wrestling Observer Radio. Alvarez noted that a segment took place involving Waller and Breakker with Breakker spearing Waller before Grayson Waller revealed he had a metal plate strapped to him, taking the NXT Champion out. The segment will air on the 20th of December edition of NXT television.

In one of the most famous moments from Bret Hart’s stint in WCW, The Hitman took the company and their star man Goldberg to task in an epic promo in Toronto, Canada. With the crowd cheering every word of the Canadian icon, Hart challenged Goldberg before the star stomped to the ring and dropped Hart with a spear.

The commentary team was confused as to why Hart recovered from the move before Goldberg before Bret Hart revealed he had been wearing a metal plate under his Toronto Maple Leafs hockey jersey.
