The Rock could be on his way back to WWE.

The Final Boss was last seen in the Stamford-based company about a year ago at Elimination Chamber when he signaled John Cena’s heel turn on Cody Rhodes after The American Nightmare refused to sell his soul to the TKO board member.

While everyone expected The Rock to play a role in Cena’s feud with Rhodes heading into WrestleMania 41, he just disappeared amid rumors of a fallout with Triple H.

The Rock May Return To Reignite His Storyline With Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes is set to compete in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match this Saturday in Chicago for a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania.

In a recent episode of the Notsam Wrestling podcast, a fan suggested a scenario where The American Nightmare would lose the Elimination Chamber. The Rock would then make a surprise comeback, call Rhodes back into the ring, and ask him if he was ready to sell him his soul, setting up a match between the two at WrestleMania 42.

WWE analyst Sam Roberts did not dismiss the idea. Instead, he claimed it would be amazing if the mystery box were opened to reveal the People’s Championship or a replica of the Brahma Bull to signal The Rock’s comeback. The 42-year-old also proposed another scenario if The Final Boss was not wrestling at WrestleMania.
