Huge Update On Ring Of Honor Television Tapings

Claudio Castagnoli Ring of Honor World Champion

There looks to be movement in regard to Ring of Honor television tapings, with an announcement from Tony Khan possibly imminent.

Tony Khan announced he had purchased Ring of Honor back in the spring of 2022 and since then the promotion has held a number of pay-per-view events but there has been no word on if or when there will be television tapings.

But now, that seems to be a lot clearer as Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Tony Khan has pulled talent from independent shows to be at Ring of Honor tapings later in February:

“They pulled people off of some indies on the 25th (of February) for Ring of Honor television. Wheeler Yuta was pulled and Trish Adora and I’m not sure who else – one or two others. My guess is Tony Khan will – look, it’s three weeks from now he better make an announcement soon. So I’m figuring by Tuesday or Wednesday he’ll say something and we’ll get more details on what this is and what it entails.”

Ring of Honor was hit with tragedy in January as current ROH Tag Team Champion Jay Briscoe was killed in a car crash. His brother and tag team partner Mark Briscoe has since made his AEW debut, competing in a tribute match for his brother against long-time ROH stalwart Jay Lethal.
