Huge Chris Jericho Match Finally Confirmed

Chris Jericho

AEW’s Chris Jericho will be walking through the Forbidden Door as the date and location of a huge international match has now been confirmed.

At the CMLL Super Viernes show on June 28th in Mexico City Mistico teamed up with Esfinge and Volador Jr. to defeat Los Infernales and Angel de Oro in a Best Two Out Of Three Falls six-man tag team match in Arena Mexico.

After the match, a mystery masked man attacked Mistico and nailed him with a Codebreaker followed by a Judas Effect elbow to the head. The mask was then removed and the mystery assailant was revealed to be Chris Jericho. Jericho then challenged Mistico to a match anywhere, anytime, and now that match has been officially confirmed.

Chris Jericho Heading Back To Arena Mexico

CMLL has now revealed on social media via two videos featuring both Jericho and Mistico that the match has been made for CMLL’s 91st Anniversary event on September 13th in Arena Mexico.

The FTW Champion Chris Jericho was in action on the 10th of July edition of AEW Dynamite when he faced off with Samoa Joe in a Stampede Street Fight. Jericho had help from Big Bill and Bryan Keith as he won the bout via referee stoppage after Bill chokeslammed Joe onto a forklift truck before Jericho drove the truck through a wall.
