A former WWE world champion is ready to bring out an old persona of his.

Randy Orton has already unlocked his old and best version to take on Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania 42. However, The Legend Killer won’t be the only man who has dug deep into his closet and brought out a buried alter ego.

Former WWE Universal Champion Means Pure Business

This week’s episode of RAW was supposed to feature a singles match between JD McDonagh and Finn Balor. Before the bout could start, however, Dominik Mysterio attacked The Prince from behind, and later double-teamed him with McDonagh.

While the 44-year-old tried to fight back, he eventually got outbrawled by his former teammates. Later in the show, Balor was seen in a video package where he sent a message to Dirty Dom, stating that he had awoken something in him. This was followed by the darkening of the screen and the sound of an intensifying heartbeat.

The Judgment Day was confused about what The Prince was talking about. However, WWE has now officially revealed that the Demon King is back by uploading the new match poster for Finn Balor versus Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 42.

The Demon King is a near-invincible alter ego of Balor, who almost never goes down. However, he was beaten in his last two matches as the Demon King against Roman Reigns at the 2021 Survivor Series and Edge at WrestleMania 39.

Finn Balor had defeated Seth Rollins at the 2016 SummerSlam to become the inaugural WWE Universal Champion. However, he never got to experience a run with the belt as he got injured during the title match. Since then, the Bullet Club founder has never held a world championship in the Stamford-based promotion.

Balor had turned on Dominik Mysterio after the latter believed that he had cost him the Intercontinental Championship against Penta. This week on RAW, The Latino Cheat was seen telling McDonagh to go for the IC Championship after WrestleMania 42. Thus, there’s a chance that he may aim for world titles post WM42. However, he will now have to cross a new hurdle named The Demon King before he works on those aspirations.
