“He Shocked All Of Us” – Michael Cole Provides An Update On Brock Lesnar’s Retirement At WWE WrestleMania 42
Brock Lesnar shocked the wrestling world by seemingly retiring tonight at WWE WrestleMania 42.
The Beast Incarnate returned to WWE after nearly three years of absence at SummerSlam 2025. Following a brief feud with John Cena, he led his team to victory in the Men’s WarGames Match at Survivor Series last November before going on hiatus again.
Lesnar made his comeback to RAW a few weeks ahead of WrestleMania 42 to issue an open challenge, which Oba Femi accepted. The two clashed tonight at the Show of Shows, with The Ruler coming out on top.
Michael Cole Addressed Brock Lesnar’s Apparent Retirement At WWE WrestleMania 42
After his match with Oba Femi, Brock Lesnar took off his gloves and boots as he cried inside the ring. He then hugged Paul Heyman, waved to the crowd, and left.
Michael Cole later addressed the emotional moment, disclosing that although Lesnar seems to have retired, it has not yet been confirmed.
The greatest combat athlete in the history of the planet. He shocked all of us. He took off his boots, he took off his gloves, and he seemingly said goodbye. It’s pretty apparent that Brock Lesnar has called it a career tonight.
