GUNTHER Provides Update On Travel Restriction Issues

GUNTHER WWE Intercontinental Champion

GUNTHER has given a positive update regarding a travel ban that he had been dealing with.

It was reported recently that GUNTHER is not allowed to leave the USA due to strict residency regulations. That travel ban is reportedly set to last for about six months.

Since the majority of WWE shows take place in the United States, it shouldn’t lead to any problems for the longest-reigning and current Intercontinental Champion. However, it does mean that GUNTHER could miss the Elimination Chamber PLE in Perth, Australia which takes place on February 24, 2024.

Another major WWE international event taking place in 2024 is the Bash In Berlin (Germany) taking place on August 31, 2024. While GUNTHER is Austrian, he has also spent a lot of time in Germany and wrestled there many times as well.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, GUNTHER reassured WWE fans that he should be able to participate in the Bash In Berlin event.

“I’m applying for my green card. During that process, you can’t leave the country for a little bit. But the PLE is in August. It should be over by then.”

While GUNTHER is from nearby Austria, his Imperium stable mate Ludwig Kaiser is from Germany, so that event will be a homecoming for him. Imperium’s Giovanni Vinci is from Italy.

GUNTHER Feels The Miz Needs A “Different Side” In Survivor Series Match

At WWE Survivor Series on November 25th, the powerful Intercontinental Champion will put his title on the line against the eight-time former Intercontinental Champion, The Miz. The Miz knows a lot about winning the Intercontinental Title because his eight reigns are the second most in WWE history behind the nine Intercontinental Title reigns by Chris Jericho.

In that same interview with Sports Illustrated, GUNTHER offered up some advice for his challenger The Miz.

“It’s great when I hear, ’Here’s your match, make it exciting.’ I do a lot of my storytelling in the ring. That’s what makes it stand out, and that’s what you’ll see at Survivor Series.”

“Miz’s rah-rah stuff that he usually does, that won’t work against me. He’s going need to bring out a different side to wrestle me.”

Before they get to Survivor Series, the Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER and challenger The Miz will be on the November 20th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw to see who has the advantage going into their big championship match.
