Gunther Tipped To Retire Another WWE Legend, But Under One Condition
Gunther is the new ‘Legend Killer’ in WWE.
In 2025, The Ring General ended the careers of Bill Goldberg and John Cena. In 2026, he ended AJ Styles’ WWE career at Royal Rumble.
If a superstar is nearing the end of his career, it is not recommended that he step foot in the ring with GUNTHER.
WWE Legend is willing to be retired by Gunther under one condition
Rob Van Dam has given his view on stepping inside the ring with The Ring General and being retired by him. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rob Van Dam claimed that if the payday was big enough, he would definitely take the deal and end his wrestling career.
Oh man, it would have to be a really big payday. If it was big enough, I’d be like, ‘Alright, f**k my career.’ You know? F**k that. I’ll pick up another hobby, no worries. Might not be giving up that much anyway. Who know what I’ve got ahead of me. But I haven’t had my last match, and the unknown always has value when you’re optimistic.
He claimed that he would love to be invited back for a match, and once WWE finds out that he still looks good in the ring, the company would want to include him in storylines.
I think that, yes. And I think that would be a great opportunity if I had the invite, you know? Sounds like a pretty damn great payday, and of course, after the match, WWE would be like, ‘Damn! RVD looks so f***ing good. Got to come up with more plans for him now.’ And then they would want to throw all kinds of money my way. And yeah, I think that Gunther would bring a stiffness out of me, just with what I’ve seen with his chops and stuff like that. Maybe in a way that Bob Holly did.
