Former WWE Tag Champions Allegedly “Done”
The fate of former tag team champions was allegedly sealed on the latest WWE Raw episode.
The War Raiders is a tag team duo that comprises Erik and Ivar. The battle-hardened, no-nonsense individuals have previously run through their opponents, along the way becoming 2-time tag champions on the red brand.
However, on February 2, they endured a fate similar to what they had been seen dishing out time and again.
As Erik and Ivar awaited their opponents for a scheduled tag team bout, they were met with a surprise when Oba Femi’s music hit, and out he came to a loud pop.
With no dialog or explanation, The Ruler entered the ring and obliterated the two behemoths. After laying out Ivar with a spinebuster, he hit his Fall From Grace finisher on Erik.
On the latest episode of The Coach & Bro podcast, the War Raiders were mentioned in passing, with former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci believing that Erik and Ivar may be done after being demolished.
He (Oba Femi) killed the War Raiders last week. They’re done. You’ll never see those guys again. They’ll never get anything to put them over because this guy just buried both of them. [1:14:19 onwards]
Oba Femi Squashed Kit Wilson On WWE SmackDown
Despite obliterating the War Raiders on WWE Raw, Oba Femi was not done making a statement.
After Raw, he appeared on the subsequent SmackDown taping, this time making his debut as an in-ring competitor.
He interrupted a segment featuring Kit Wilson, where the Brit explained his absence from the Royal Rumble PLE. He said that they did allow him to compete because he was a real man with confidence.
After ranting for a few more seconds, he challenged any participant in the men’s Royal Rumble match to a fight. Out came Oba Femi, who did not allow any offense from his opponent, instead squashing him in under a minute.
