Former WWE Champion Returns On SmackDown

A former WWE Champion has teased a new stable when they made their return on the latest Friday Night SmackDown.

The Street Profits have carved themselves a popular niche in WWE over the last few years, with many tipping them to a rise to the top in the not too distant future. However, going in to the 14th July 2023 edition of the blue brand, few could have predicted what was going to happen in their brief backstage segment.

Whilst outside the building, a limousine pulled up which former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley appeared from. He invited Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford in to the vehicle, which they did and the trio drove away, indicating that there could be a new stable set to form on SmackDown.

Bobby Lashley was drafted to SmackDown earlier this year, after he had picked up some big wins despite seemingly having little direction at times. After a mini-feud with Brock Lesnar, he went on to win the 2023 Andre The Giant Battle Royale, and issued a challenge for WrestleMania. However, at ‘The Showcase Of The Immortals’ he ended up just celebrating with his trophy on the stage rather than competing in a match.

Although the appearance on SmackDown was brief, hopefully this gives ‘The All Mighty’ some new direction, and helps keep the rise of The Street Profits going.
