Former AEW World Champion, Swerve Strickland, shocked the world recently when he turned heel at Dynamite a few weeks back and took out Kenny Omega after their match.

He then targeted Brody King and attacked him for a couple of weeks, leading to a brutal one-on-one match tonight at Revolution. The two rivals wrestled a hard-hitting and fast-paced match, which shifted momentum quickly.

Things turned in Swerve’s favor after he hit a Vertabreaker on the floor and almost got a count-out win over King. However, he returned in time, but Swerve still picked up the win as he followed that up with a stomp from the top rope and a House Call.

Kenny Omega goes after Swerve Strickland on AEW return

Following his win, it seemed like Strickland was ready to unleash even more damage on the former AEW World Tag Team Champion. Prince Nana picked out a cinder block from under the ring to help Swerve.

He placed the black under Brody King’s face, and Swerve got ready to hit another stomp from the top rope and onto the cinder block, but he was stopped by a returning Kenny Omega.

Omega returned to chase Swerve out of the ring before he could unleash any more damage on King, but this short interaction was enough to indicate that things aren’t yet over between these two former AEW World Champions.
