Former NXT Champion Added To WWE SmackDown Tournament
Logan Paul is looking for his first challenger for his WWE United States Championship and now a former NXT Champion has entered the field.
On a recent SmackDown in New York City, Logan Paul announced seven of the competitors taking part in a tournament to find a number one contender for his US Title. Paul revealed the eighth spot would be filled by an as-yet-unnamed NXT star. Austin Theory, Dragon Lee, Grayson Waller, Kevin Owens, Santos Escobar, Karrion Kross, and Bobby Lashley will all be part of the tournament with the action getting underway on the 8th of December SmackDown Tribute To The Troops Show.
At SmackDown Tribute To The Troops, both Santos Escobar and Bobby Lashley advanced to the semi-finals at the expense of Dragon Lee and Karrion Kross respectively.
Austin Theory will face Kevin Owens in the first round while Grayson Waller is set to face the NXT star who has now been revealed.
Carmelo Hayes To Be Part Of WWE US Title Tournament
Now in a video released by WWE on social media, NXT boss Shawn Michaels has revealed that former NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes will be the one joining the tournament.

Both of the remaining first-round matches in the tournament will take place on the 15th of December edition of SmackDown live from Green Bay, Wisconsin.
