“F**k You” – Is Roman Reigns Dropping World Title At WWE Backlash?
Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship reign may end tonight at WWE Backlash against Jacob Fatu.
The Original Tribal Chief captured the title after beating CM Punk in the main event of Night Two of WrestleMania 42 last month. Later on RAW, Jacob Fatu confronted him and challenged him to a title match.
The two cousins are now set to clash for the title tonight at Backlash amid rumors suggesting Reigns may be in disagreement with TKO over recent pay cuts and could drop the title to The Samoan Werewolf as a result.
Freddie Prinze Jr. Predicts The Outcome Of Roman Reigns Vs. Jacob Fatu WWE Backlash Match
Speaking on his Wrestling with Freddie podcast, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. addressed the upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match between Jacob Fatu and Roman Reigns.
The Hollywood star noted that he did not believe The Original Tribal Chief had tension with TKO. Hence, he predicted that the World Heavyweight Champion would retain his title tonight at Backlash.
I think we’re all going to have the same choice here. Although the internet’s predicting that Roman might drop it cuz he’s pi**sed off about his contract, and he’s like, ‘Oh, well, if you’re not going to pay me all this champ money, I’m not going to be the champ and carry the company for you. So, f**k you, guys. I’m gonna drop it to Jacob. He’ll be the champ. You guys can pay him whatever unfair contract he’s getting and pay me this new unfair contract. F**k you, guys.’ That’s the rumor. But I don’t buy it. I say Roman Reigns is retaining the championship. [4:53 onwards]
