Ex-WWE Star Admits Having Heat With AEW CEO Tony Khan

AEW CEO Tony Khan has real-life issues with a former WWE star.

On an episode of The Coach & Bro Show, former WWE star Jonathan Coachman revealed that he had been told he had heat with Tony Khan, which is why the latter has never appeared on his shows.

The Coach added that he believes the reason behind the heat is “the most ridiculous in the world.”

I have heat with Tony Khan. How do I know that? They called and told me so. And the reason I have heat still to this day makes me laugh. And I told AEW, ‘If this is why Tony Khan won’t come on one of my shows,’ I said, ‘It’s the most ridiculous reason in the world. [48:31 onwards]

Why Is Tony Khan Upset With Jonathan Coachman?

Later on the show, Jonathan Coachman explained why Tony Khan has beef with him.

He disclosed that the AEW CEO was not pleased with Coachman claiming Britt Baker wanted to go to WWE several months ago. Hence, AEW contacted him to inform him that the former Women’s World Champion was still under contract.

The reason I have heat, if you guys want to know, is because about six or eight months ago, I said Britt Baker wanted to go to the WWE. And they called me and said, ‘That’s not true. She’s under contract.’ I said ‘That’s not what I said. I said she wants to go to the WWE.’ And they’re like, ‘Oh, well…’ And what have they done since? They extended her contract without bringing her back on TV. Huh, I wonder who was right. [52:39 onwards]
