Ex-WWE Diva’s Husband Was Unhappy With Her “Affair” With Vince McMahon

A former WWE champion has finally addressed a major controversy.

Marc Mero and Sable initially joined WWE in the mid-1990s. However, the former couple left the promotion and even sued Vince McMahon following their departure in 1999.

Nearly four years later, Sable returned to the Stamford-based company alone for a second run. Upon her comeback, the former Women’s Champion got involved in one of the most controversial storylines in WWE history.

Sable Had An On-Screen Affair With Vince McMahon In WWE

During her second stint, which lasted only a year, Sable had an on-screen affair with former Chairman Vince McMahon. The storyline featured many intimate scenes between the couple, leading to a feud between The Blonde Bombshell and McMahon’s daughter, Stephanie.

At the time, Sable was still married to Marc Mero. In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, the former Intercontinental Champion revealed that the “affair” storyline did not sit well with him, despite his then-wife believing it was just acting.

No, I mean, she just thinks it’s just acting. I’d have to do this if I was in a movie or something like that. So, yeah, but it didn’t sit right with me, you know, didn’t sit right, and just was not good. [H/T: CVV]
